History

In the early 1900s, Grandfather Pasquale came to America and was followed by his family, including daughter-in-law Angela Carlino, known and loved as the famous “Mama Carlino.”

Mama Carlino and her family opened their first family store in Ardmore, PA, in the 1980s, offering homemade pasta, sauces, and the freshest pastries and cookies. The business flourished and grew over the years to become one of the best-known artisan food businesses in the Philadelphia area, with two gourmet markets and a full catering service.

Carlino’s, now in its third generation of ownership, remains a frontrunner in artisan food production and sales. Always striving to innovate, Carlino’s responded to customer demand for bulk quantities of its most popular products by establishing Carlino’s Manufacturing & Importing Co., a wholesale division of its beloved retail stores.

Carlino’s Manufacturing and Importing Co. continues to grow and make strides in the wholesale market, focusing on sourcing the best ingredients and creating and sharing high-quality, clean-label products. The wholesale division also offers food service products through various distributors to offer some of our best products to a larger audience. Carlino’s Manufacturing and Importing Co. supplies an extensive range of food service and retail stores throughout the United States.
